This week’s blog post is about how a business used Photo Cutouts boards to promote its stores and gave customers a fun experience at the same time. It’s the story of how a garden centre chain boosted its public image with a co-ordinated set of our Snow Globe boards distributed across 22 of its branches. It’s also the story of how you can do the same to promote your business.
Klondyke & Strikes Garden Centres like our Snow Globe board so much they ordered 22 of them – one for each of their branches in England, Scotland and Wales. For use during the festive period, the boards are placed strategically at each branch to encourage visitors to pose in them and take photos. The sharing hashtag for Instagram, Twitter and Facebook is #KlondykeSnowglobe.
To tempt customers to share their photos on social media, Klondyke & Strikes are running a ‘Show us your best festive face’ competition with a prize for the best snow globe photo. Customer have really gone for it – just look at the Instagram page for the hashtag #KlondykeSnowglobe and you’ll see how well the campaign is going!
We really love what Klondyke & Strikes have done with the snow globe boards. Face in hole boards have a vintage feel, and these scenes are examples of real old fashioned window dressing which has always been a vital part of retail but which so many other stores forget to do well. We wish them every success with their seasonal campaign and hope that these beautiful displays make customers feel like spending more! It just gives a nice warm fuzzy feeling for customers that their staff have gone to all that effort, doesn’t it?
Christmas is one of the times of year when our photo cutout boards really shine. They add extra sparkle and fun to festive events and increase engagement. A colourful, vivid photo cutout board is ideal for interacting with the public at conferences and expos, corporate events, charity events, retail stores, marketing events, theatres, art galleries, awards ceremonies and the many other events that take place every November and December.
We’ve created some unique new designs for 2017 that you won’t find anywhere else. Boost the buzz at your Christmas event! The new designs are on our website and are proving popular, with hires going out as we write this. If you want to grow your presence and engagement with the public this Christmas, you need a photo cutout board. We’re ready to talk to you on 08450 570321! Or drop us an email at email@example.com.
We’ve given the Christmas range a makeover with a fresh and up-to-date design style.
The choice of how many face holes is yours. In this new design below, you can have Rudolf or Elf cut out or both. Just ask us and we’ll make it the way you like. For children at a Santa’s grotto, for example, you might prefer to have just the elf cut out, because it’s at a better height for kids.
As for custom Christmas boards with your own design or one created by us, check out our custom boards page for more info. As an example, here’s a festive board we made for InternetMatters.org for use at TalkTalk’s offices over the Christmas period.
As our production ramps up to capacity for the Christmas run of photo cutout boards, we have recruited some extra Christmas elves to keep the boards going out on time. They’re best at doing jobs like cleaning the boards and cutting out the face holes.
Here’s Buddy the Elf in an elfie selfie with the jigsaw as he carefully cuts the face holes to the right size. He’s trying hard not to use his magical powers to speed things up because we pay him by the hour. And don’t worry, he’s had full Elf & Safety training before we let him loose with the jigsaw.
We’ve managed to secretly get photos of some of the boards Buddy and his colleagues have been making.
Here’s one for the National Trust in use at Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire. It’s got their hashtag on it for use on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. If people use the hashtag when they post their photos of the board, it will make them easier to find and help the National Trust’s cause.
This next one was used at the recent zip line event across the Thames to raise funds for Evelina Children’s Hospital. The event was a great success and saw celebrities and London firefighters flying across the Thames from the roof of St Thomas’s Hospital to the gardens of the Palace of Westminster. It was the first time this has ever been done.
Here’s a board for Rotosound Strings featuring Jimi Hendrix. Not especially festive, but we get orders for custom boards all year round so sometimes the elves have to swallow their yuletide pride and get on with it. This one was used at a marketing event in Germany.
When the elves have packed up their tools and gone back to Lapland, it’ll be time to start thinking about the next big event in the calendar: Valentine’s Day. Why not ask us to create a board for the one you love? Have a look at our wedding boards for inspiration. We’ll be happy to make you a photo board with two face holes for your special one, and we’ll include any special message you want to say.
Wishing you an elfy and happy Christmas, and see you in the New Year!
