Well, all of these, of course. But what we meant is quite simply to encourage people to, well, physically get into your product by putting their faces in a board with your product on it! The concept couldn’t be simpler, and you know what? It works. Product boards from photocutouts.co.uk are the perfect marketing accessory at trade shows, conferences and exhibitions. One example this week is Wavegrip, a company who make hygienic, recyclable packaging for cans. They went all the way to Nashville, Tennessee to promote their products to the Craft Brewers’ Conference, and prepared well in advance by asking us to make them a promotional face in the hole board to take along with them. Here they are sharing board photos on social media.

They were able to take the board along with them because it folds in two and is easy to carry and set up. Imagine taking the board in the photo on a plane – what a kerfuffle that would be! Well, we thought of that, so our conference boards have the option of coming as a folding two-piece that you can carry under your arm. Wavegrip are going to use their folding board at their next event as well (an expo in Germany), and the next one after that. For a small outlay they now have an excellent marketing tool that screams about their products and that people have fun interacting with and taking photos of (which they are likely to then share on social media, further promoting the brand).

Central tweeting: Vaillant

A certain bunny enjoyed one of our Photo Cutouts boards at this week’s launch of boiler company Vaillant’s new magazine for installers. Johann the Bunny is named after the company’s founder Johann Vaillant, who invented the closed-system gas-fired geyser in 1894. Here is the rabbit version of Johann fooling around in the special hand-held face in hole board we made for Vaillant’s magazine launch. We don’t blame him. When there’s a face in hole board to play with, what’s a bunny to do?

And of course a lot of people used it too.

Another hand-held board, coincidentally (our boards are usually free-standing and 6 to 7 feet high, though we can make any size required, including folding boards). This one is for NowPressPlay, an educational technology startup who wanted the board for the Bett (British Educational Training and Technology) Showat Excel in London.

now>press>play is an immersive audio resource that engages primary school children in the curriculum through emotion, imagination and movement.

They are getting maximum mileage out of their Photo Cutouts board by including it in a blog post, sharing it on Twitter and Facebook, and holding a social media contest for the best photo with the board using the hashtag #pinkheadphones. The prize? A free month of their product. Smart marketing!

Nuts Over The Atlantic: update

Charity fundraising face in hole boards photo cutouts

The brave lads from Nuts Over The Atlantic  describe themselves as ‘4 distinctly average guys rowing across the Atlantic for #Movember’. But their achievement is anything but average. At the time of writing they have been rowing for 44 days and are under 800 miles from their goal on the American side of the big pond. Their autotiller broke but they have fixed it, they have of course grown beards and have been lashed by storms and huge waves. But they’re still on target!

Before they set off on their odyssey we made a Photo Cutouts board to promote their campaign. Nearly there lads!

So that’s just a sprinkling of the boards out there being used to promote campaigns, product launches and brands at trade shows. We can only really blog about the ones that who have posted photos – not everybody does, which is fair enough.
